ABCD/Early Intervention
Assuring Better Child Health and Development
Population served: Birth - 5 years old
The ABCD Program builds community awareness on the value and availability of early intervention services for infants and children who are at risk for developmental delays and disabilities. This service makes contact with pediatricians and family practice physicians to introduce proper developmental screening tools to incorporate into well child visits. Education on referral resources and processes is also provided, so children can get an early start confronting their developmental problems.
This program is provided by Community Health Partners, Partnership for Children of Lincoln and Gaston Counties, and NC SmartStart.
